Description
Japanese ,19-20th C,one vase decorated with figures conversing with each other and admiring paper scrolls in an outdoor landscape scenery. Shoulder encircled with a band of roundels with dragons enclosed and floral scrolls. Bottom base similarly decorated, all reserved on an iron red ground. the other vase decorated in gilt on an iron red ground, painted with foliage, clouds and crane patterns to the body H: 9.5"(24.1cm) H: 9.3"(23.5cm) Provenance: Estate Sale of Dr. Solomon Stone, a clinical psychologist and professor at Brooklyn College.Condition: both in good condition except for the smaller vase has a star shaped crack to the bottom
