Description
Avinoff, Andrey (Russian/American 1884 - 1948), Untitled (Drawing of cabin in Cooks Forest, Pennsylvania), circa 1930s, charcoal drawing on paper, apparently unsigned, drawing measures 8.5 x 11.5 inches, matted area measuring 11 x 14 inches, unframed. Provenance: The Estate of Andrey Avinoff; by direct descent the present owner, the artist's grand niece. Drawn during artist's tenure as Director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Condition
Image quality in generally good condition, with visible diagonal creasing in bottom corners, small L shaped tear left middle margin, light compression creasing in corners.
