Attractive Fred Astaire Signed Studio Photograph, Likely From "Following The Fleet"
Black and white portrait, measuring 8" x 10.25", no place, n.d. [Ca. 1936]. A vintage studio photograph signed "Fred Astaire" in black ink. The photograph features Astaire dressed in a sailor's outfit and seemingly speaking to someone just off camera. Very fine condition and boldly signed.
"Follow the Fleet" hit American cinemas in 1936 and charmed audiences with performances by the iconic duo of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. The film was based on the 1922 play "Shore Leave" by Hubert Osborne and featured Astaire and Rogers' dance to "Let's Face the Music and Dance."
