Item Details
Description
Ronald Reagan Autograph Letter Signed with Initials while Governor. One page, 7.75" x 10", no place; June 1, 1967. Addressed to a Roman Gabriel, presumably the former quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams, on yellow lined paper regarding an autographed picture he sent to Reagan’s son. The "Skipper" reference could be a nod to the episode of Gilligan’s Island Gabriel guest-starred on the year before. It reads in part: "…It was very kind and thoughtful of you to send the autograph picture to the "Skipper" and he was really thrilled. It’s on his bedroom wall, put up by himself personally. He let his mother & me hang the rest. Speaking of pictures the enclosed snap is of your tshirt which he wears on every occasion. He has a long way to go to fill it but he figures it fits fine right now…" Signed, "R.R." Condition: Two small pieces of tape to verso indicating previous mounting. Sunned.
