Chinese calligraphy by Hu Xiao Shi, presented to Mr. Hsueh Wei-Yuan. Signed, "Guong Wei" and sealed, "Guong Wei" and "Pan Shi Sheng". Hu Xiao Shi (Chinese, 1888-1962). PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Wei Yuan Hsueh and Emily Hsueh, Dallas, Texas. Owners of the former Oriental Art Shop in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Hsueh was a Chinese government official as Consul to Jamaica and Consul to Germany prior to beginning Oriental Art Shop. Site: 43"H x 11.5"W, Circa - Early 20th C.
