Offered in this lot is a necklace of rare Iroquois long, faceted, red and blue trade beads. These trade beads were very popular among the Iroquois Nation and were heavily traded across the eastern part of North America in the 17th century. The beads measure 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" long and 1/2" wide. The beads have eight facets. There are 13 red beads and 9 blue beads. The beads are in very fine condition. Provenance: letter of appraisal from Out-West Designs, L. W. Dinneen, with a value of $900- $1200.
