Description

A Fine 19th century Needlework Picture, solidly executed in gold, brown, white and blue silk stitches with a mansion house flanked by trees, the foreground with a family harvest scene with hand colored faces consisting of two young boys, one holding a sheaf of wheat the other next to the family dog. A young girl holding a sheep centering two young women, one holding a hand scythe the other feeding geese in a blue pond. Needlework framed with original black and gold eglomise mat and period frame. Size: 24” wide x 20.5 high. In untouched condition with original unsealed backing. Condition: Silk slightly warped with age and has some tears.
