A Chinese blue&white porcelain flower phoenix double handle jar

The pot shape is dignified, round mouth, oval belly, sloping shoulders, double beast ears on both sides of the shoulders, lower waist, flat bottom, white and warm carcass, bright and gorgeous blue and white. The full jar is decorated with blue and white painted flowers and phoenix patterns, and the pictures are bizarre and interesting.

PROVENANCE:From The Estate of Garold G. Darty(1930-2019) of Bear, DE. Born in Townsend, DE on June 29, 1930, Garold was a life-long Delaware resident. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard from 1948 until 1954. He worked as a surveyor for Delaware Dept. of Transportation for 37 years, from 1954 until retiring in 1991. A devoted family man, he especially loved family gatherings and crab feasts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working in his yard, garden, and home. He was a faithful Phillies and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing all across the country and accomplished his goal of visiting 48 of the 50 states. Bud was a member of The United Methodist Church, Georgetown, where he served as an usher and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family.
