A large Chinese red under glaze porcelain dragon pattern views plate
Ming dyansty
8.5 cm H x 47.5 cm Diam
The large plate is flower-shaped, even and quiet, gentle and quaint. The shape of the whole device is regular, the fetal bones are white and blue, and a dragon is painted in the heart of the bowl, passing between the flame orbs. The painted dragon patterns are connected end to end, the claws are flared, the hair and beard are fluttering, the look is solemn and solemn, separated by a blank space. The red flower pattern in the glaze is painted on the edge of the plate, the outline is delicate and neat, and the brush strokes are smooth.
PROVENANCE:From The Estate of Garold G. Darty(1930-2019) of Bear, DE. Born in Townsend, DE on June 29, 1930, Garold was a life-long Delaware resident. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard from 1948 until 1954. He worked as a surveyor for Delaware Dept. of Transportation for 37 years, from 1954 until retiring in 1991. A devoted family man, he especially loved family gatherings and crab feasts. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working in his yard, garden, and home. He was a faithful Phillies and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing all across the country and accomplished his goal of visiting 48 of the 50 states. Bud was a member of The United Methodist Church, Georgetown, where he served as an usher and enjoyed the fellowship of his church family.
