A FRENCH BRASS AND MARBLE FIGURAL CLOCK, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
the brass formed as a cherub riding a chariot led by a lion, the wheel formed from the clock face, the clock face with roman numerals with metal hands and a gilt face, the base formed as a rectangle from marble with a gilt chariot scene featuring a goddess led by horses and a cherub, flanked on either side by a gilt urn, stamped on the interior AI in a oval cartouche and numbered 12954; overall height: 44.45 cm (17 1/2 in.); dimensions of base: 43 x 14 cm (16 7/8 x 5 1/2 in.)
CONDITION
The clock appears in age-appropriate condition. Overall surface dust and darkening visible to the clock, most notably to the brass figural group. Patina has occurred to the gilt scene in various places. Should be noted the clock does not appear in working condition.
