Dermot Louison (b.1933) original watercolor Beautiful island scene, colorful expressionist composition, Signed - Louison. High vibrant watercolor. In gilt frame with matting. Modernist, Caribbean, British West Indies Artist. Image size: 11 x 17 inches. Frame size: 19 x 25.5 inches. Art image is in fine condition. Matt show mild/light foxing. Would benefit from conservation matting and gallery sealing paper on the back to best preserve art. Dermot Louison (b.1933) is a renowned artist of Trinidad & Tobago who traveled to England in the 1950s as part of the hopeful #Windrush Generation. Dermot quit his job as an Electrical Engineer and turned his talent to Painting. His first exhibition was in the Tate Gallery, London 1958 exhibiting the portraiture of Sir Winston Churchill. Currently, his works have been included in the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad & Tobago.
