***Auction Highlight*** 1811 Small 8 O-111 Capped Bust Half Dollar 50c Graded ms62 details By SEGS. Spectacular, deep multicolor toning encompasses both sides of this sharply struck half. Full dentils on both the obverse and reverse suggest an early state of the dies. The O-111 shows IT of UNITED solidly joined at the top, while the obverse displays two tiny dots below the ear to confirm the variety. The surfaces do not reveal any significant imperfections, but light hairlines require a details designation. Shades of sea-green, gold, cobalt-blue, and burnt orange comprise the rich patina. Just inside the low end of the Condition Census for the early die state based on the Parsley and Herrman references.
