A blurry die crack from the base of the second 1 to the stand of the overpunched 1 and the clash marks above the date identify the late die state O-102a. Superb vibrant luster enhances the pleasing surfaces of this near-Uncirculated specimen, with scattered, minor signs of wear and vibrant mint luster throughout. The design elements are well-detailed, showing some of the usual flatness on four of the obverse stars. The wild letter transferred die clashing above the date is striking. Bold overdate.
