Ernest Haskell was an American printmaker, illustrator and painter, born in Woodstock, Connecticut. A prolific artist, Haskell produced more than four hundred prints during his lifetime. Perhaps best known for his landscapes, his work was exhibited alongside the likes of John Marin and Max Weber at Alfred Stieglitz's Gallery in New York in 1910 and was extensively exhibited throughout the nineteen-teens. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was killed in an automobile accident in November of 1925 while in Bath, Maine. Even after his death, Haskell's work continued to be shown in retrospective exhibitions around the country.

Condition: Good condition, minor discoloration in the margins.
