Superb LUBA caryatid stool
This superb stool presents a very particular architecture, where the shoulders and the chest merge in a spectacular way, the latter emerging at the elbow.
This style is rare, but an headrest from the Museum of Tervuren has very similar characteristics, it is published in "La tête dans les Étoiles", see bibliography)

Another Luba stool also presents this particularity in "Atlantes & Caryatides" page 33
According to its former owner, this stool was harvested in a village located a few tens of kilometers from Kongolo, on the edge of Songye country.
