30's nosegay/pieced bouquet quilt, all hand pieced and hand quilted, with solid green accents, an unusual concentric configuration, and petal border. It measures 78" X 86" and is in excellent condition, with no spots or wear. The quilting is superb, with quilting around the piecework and in grid, circular, floral, diamond, and cable designs quilted in the background, all at an even 9-10 stitches to the inch, with faint pencil marks still visible in places. Many of the pieces are "fussy cut," where the fabric pattern (usually a flower) is cut to be centered in the square pieces. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is pink, and the batting is thin.
