Item Details
Description
English creamware plate with a green lead glaze, circa 1780. Probably made by one of the Staffordshire potters. Skinner sold a similar plate in 2018, which they catalogued as "possibly Yorkshire."
This plate has a scalloped edge with a lovely scrolling vine and floral border.
Excellent condition with some glaze uneveness (as made) and the original stilt marks on the underside. 9 1/4" diameter.
