Unusual American Brass and Spelter Rococo Revival Gasolier
third quarter 19th century, the six-light "war"-themed gasolier decorated with dolphin heads supporting the candle arms, the arms curving in front of the lobed spelter pan, set with rondels of American Indians alternating with Roman centurions, and with spear-carrying helmeted putti alternating with hanging, spiked flails above the arms, the corona with crossed shields, battle axes and bull heads.

Condition
In as found condition. One of the armored suits (ornamentations) around the lower bowl is lacking its helmet. The arms are lacking their original shade holders and shades. It has been outfitted with candlesleeves now. The shaft has been reduced in height. Wired for electricity and currently lit up.
