Condition
Both examples exhibit several campaigns of restoration some time ago, commensurate with age of the paintings. Soiling, yellowing and darkening of the varnish layer. Scattered craquelure and some cupping to paint surface. Abrading to edges and stretcher marks visible. The"roosters" example with linear abrading in upper center. Difficult for UV light to completely penetrate the varnish layer, but the "peacock" example with an apparent old tear repair in mid-right area. Other small inpainting touch-ups detected as well to both examples. Both frames with losses, marks, nicks and abrasions.
