This is an ancient pottery vessel from Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, and the Chorrera culture, ca. 9th to 4th century BC. A hand-built pottery vessel depicting a figure head that features a pair of arms with hands on either side of the circular, orange and beige-hued vessel. An intriguing figurative example from the Chorrera of ancient Ecuador. The Clay vessel measures 6.5 inches long x 4.75 inches wide x 3.5 inches tall. Provenance: The Dr. Brian Healy estate, New York.
