This lot consists of a framed oil painting on board, done in the German Expressionist style of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (German, 1880-1938). Image depicts a young boy whose likeness has been captured with bold brush strokes and a rich spectrum of color. A hand-painted inscription at top left corner. This framed piece measures approximately 15.5" x 11.5".

Reverse side of piece features a partial study of an adolescent male.

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (German, 1880-1938) was a painter and printmaker who is credited with founding "Die Brucke" (or, "The Bridge"), an artist group whose bold work eventually led to the creation of German Expressionism.
