MIXED WOOD DECORATED SEWING WORK BOX, primarily pine and walnut with dovetailed construction, oblong form raised on four short turned legs with hinged lift-up top, two end walls with carved ornamentation, three sides decorated with a white bead in a brass setting, interior fitted with three compartments including two open and remaining fitted with five spool holders each having an eyelet between beads on face. Fourth quarter 19th century. 6 1/2" H, 9 1/2" x 12".
Very good condition with expected usage wear, lid with a horizontal separation at hinge brackets, top with some scattered imperfections.
