Description
BRITISH BLUE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTERS, LOT OF FOUR, comprising patterns "Belzoni", "Palestine", "Andalusia", and "Triumphal Car". Each having printed pattern name to underside with other impressed marks including "ADAMS". J & M P Bell & Co., Glasgow, Scotland; Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem; William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Second/third quarter 19th century. 15 1/8" x 12 1/4" to 15 1/2" x 12 7/8".
Undamaged, except each having some expected usage wear including short scattered scratches from use and "Triumphal Car" having moderate crazing. Some having manufacturing flaws, including glaze imperfections/stilt marks, as made.

Provenance: From the James Dunn collection, Springfield, VT.
