attributed to Thomas Lincoln (1778-1851), Tennessee or Kentucky, 19th century, cherry with poplar secondary, single-case construction, paneled doors opening to shelved interior, original feet and skirt, 90 x 48 x 22-1/2 in., old refinishing, hinges replaced with some associated cracks and patches, repaired crack to beaded molding at left front foot, backboards renailed, surface abrasions especially to lower door Provenance: Purchased in the 1960s from Gladys Pritchard, out of a henhouse in the community of Pritchardville, Kentucky; property of Nathan and Jean Harsh, previously loaned to Wynnewood, National Register of Historic Place at Castalian Springs in Summer County, Tennessee. This cupboard was used on the set of the film "The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James"; Brunk Auctions, November 8, 2008, lot 0235; Property of a North Carolina Collector Cabinetmaker Thomas Lincoln was the father of President Abraham Lincoln.
