A Pair of Fine George III Ebonized and Gilt-Painted Armchairs
Circa 1785
The upholstered shield backs issuing part-padded arms, the hand holds and rails painted with rosettes and inverted bell flower trails, above a curved padded seat, raised on tapered stop fluted forelegs and outswept rear legs. (2).

great overall condition; paint possibly refreshed; later upholstery in great, clean condition, with one chair having minor soot marks and some wear to arm rests
