Chinese Underglazed Red Pear-Shaped Vase, Yuhuchunping. Well potted with a pear-shaped body supported on a short foot rising to a slender neck flaring to the rim, freely painted in slightly depressed red tone with an undulating scroll issuing four peony blossoms amidst trailing leaves, all between bands of trefoil pendants around the shoulder and upright petal lappets around the foot, the neck with upright plantain leaves, the interior mouth rim with a band of classic scroll. {Height: 12 3/8 inches (31.4 cm)}. Condition: Cracks and restoration to the rim.
