Chinese Underglazed Red Pear-Shaped Vase, Yuhuchunping. Well potted with a pear-shaped body supported from a short foot rising to a slender neck flaring to the rim, freely painted in slightly depressed red tone with an undulating scroll bearing four peony blossoms amidst trailing leaves, all between bands of pendent trefoils around the shoulder and upright petal lappets around the foot. Further upright plantain leaves painted on neck. The interior mouth rims is decorated with a band of classic scroll. {Height: approximately 12 3/8 inches (31.4 cm)}.
