It covers the departure of crusaders after the Council of Nicee, the Siege of Antioch, Election of Godefroy, Battle of Ascalon, reign of Baudouin II, conquests of Saladin, and the events designed to protect Jerusalem from a fall.



This 1867 French edition was abridged and edited for young readers by Jean-Joseph Poujoulat.
