Description
Mint with tin hull containing live steam plant and wick burner inside. Also included is a custom made wood stand. Boat measures 26 inches long. Excellent high quality paint. The finest example of a rare 100-year old boat, sleek and elegant in spectacular un-played with condition, by the renowned American manufacturer. Comes with original Boucher-made life-jacket, an accessory offered for sale in their catalog (pictured). Horace E. Boucher (1874-1935) was a naval architect who headed the U.S. Navy’s model shop. He created ship models that came to be prized by museums all over the country — more than 40 are displayed in the Smithsonian Institute alone. He established the Boucher Model Shop in 1905 in Manhattan and began manufacture of toy and model boats powered by horizontal center flue steam boilers. ***Domestic shipping for this lot will be $45, International shipping to be determined.***
