Item Details

Description

We have what appears to be a post World War 2 US Navy LARU (Lambertsen Amphibious Respiratory Apparatus) unit. In the 1957 US Navy diving manual one of these is shown in section 3.5.4 under closed circuit scuba in naval service. The backpack unit appears to be complete. The back of pack has a plastic shell containing two air tanks. We could find no markings indicating a manufacturer. Appears to be in good condition, especially for display purposes.
