MORRIS BROSE (POLISH/AMER, 1914-2000) WELDED BRONZE SCULPTURE H 81" W 29" Inscribed signature "Brose" on foot. On tripod legs. Freeform with bronze fingers extending. Provenance: Estate of Jack Faxon, Michigan Senator, and creator of the Michigan Council for the Arts. Brose was an instructor of sculpture at institutions including the Detroit Institute of Art, Wayne State University, and Cranbrook Academy of Arts and Crafts.Provenance: Estate of Jack Faxon, Birmingham, MI. Michigan Senator and creator of the Michigan Council for the Arts.
Condition
In excellent condition. Senator Faxon mounted candles on the finger spikes and remnants of wax drippings remain
