South America, Brazil, ca. mid 1950s CE. An impressive hand-carved arrow with a wooden tang and handle and a carbon steel point. Cylindrical in form, the long, dark brown tang is bound to its thick, sandy-beige handle via horizontally-wrapped strands of vegetal fiber. The triangular point displays a concave base and a small drill hole, through which it is woven to the tang by additional bands of vegetal fiber. Size: 32.2" L (81.8 cm)
