Signed and dated lower left "Leonard Ochtman 1915". Provenance:Christie's, Los Angeles, May 3, 2000, Lot #30. Along with fellow artists like J. Alden Weir, Childe Hassam and John Henry Twachtman, Leonard Ochtman was a founder of the Cos Cob Art Colony, a group who gathered in the Cos Cob area of Greenwich, Connecticut. Ochtman was a leading figure in the American Impressionist movement and became one of its most visible, successful and influential figures.
