A RARE PAIR OF VICTORIAN SILVER NOVELTY LIGHTHOUSE PEPPERS, by Deakin & Francis Ltd, Birmingham 1893 and 1895, cast as Smeaton's Edystone Lighthouse, engraved 1759. 12.4cm high, 5.6 troy ounces

Condition

Marks to bases of both clear and well struck - both lids also marked with lion passant and date letters, 1893 marks clear, 1895 marks heavily rubbed. Both engraved 'SMEATON'S Edystone Lighthouse' to base. Minor surface dents and scratches to both commensurate with age and use. Finial to one misshapen.
