Pair of McClellan Ballots
MCCLELLAN, GEORGE. Pair of two ballots.
1) Gen McClellan MEDINA Co Ohio Civil War 1864 Election Soldier Ballot PORTRAIT. Authentic MEDINA Co Ohio Soldier’s Ballot cast for McClellan / Pendleton in the Presidential Election of November 8, 1864. A generic National Democratic Ticket cast by a soldier from MEDINA County. MEDINA Co. is written in pencil on the top front. Portrait of McClellan is about 1.75" wide by 2.2" high. Ballot Size: about 3.25" wide by 10.25" high. B & W on heavy paper. Condition: GOOD showing normal age toning for an artifact 150 years old and minor wrinkles & folds. As a result of the counting process, it has TWO pin holes. Ohio law did not require the ballot be signed, although some were.
2) Gen McClellan SANDUSKY Co Ohio Civil War 1864 PORTRAIT Election Ballot. authentic SANDUSKY Co Ohio Soldier’s ballot cast for McClellan / Pendleton in the Presidential Election of November 8, 1864.The entire woodcut with, the Flags, makes this an impressive portrait ( 2" wide X 2.25" high) of Little Mac (he was 5' 4" tall). The Portrait woodcut is excellent. Size: about 3.25" wide by 9.75" high. Black Text on White heavy paper. SANDUSKY is written in iron ink on the Back with bleed thru to the front. Obvious winkles and creases. Condition: GOOD showing normal aging for an artifact 151 years old. As a result of the counting process, it has ONE Pin hole. Ohio law did not require the ballot be signed although some were.
