This lot consists of a framed oil painting on board, done in the contemporary style of Takanori Ogisu (Japanese, 1901-1986). A hand-painted inscription at lower right corner reads, "Oguiss". Image depicts a quaint cityscape. Overall framed measurements approximately 25" x 21".

Reverse side of piece features two labels; one reads, "Pompidou", while the other reads, "F.T." and has a handwritten note, "231".

Takanori Ogisu (Japanese, 1901-1986), often styled Takanori Oguiss, was a figure painter who spent most of his life living and working in France. Settling in the artistic Parisian district of Montparnasse, Ogisu employed bright colors in his depiction of shops, mills, and markets.
