Sepia toned photograph showing Amelia Earhart with the Beech Nut Pitcairn PCA-2 Autogiro plane, circa 1931. An iconic image of the historic aviator, she leans with one jodhpur-clad knee up, trench coat and goggles in hand, hair tousled and smile easy and relaxed. Earhart was the first woman to fly the autogiro, crossing the country twice in the plane. Photo mounted to heavy card stock. Loss to one corner, (margin only.) Card is approx. 8" x 10, photo approx. 5" x 7".
