Francisco Goya (Spanish, 1746-1828). No Hay Que Dar Voces (No Need to Give Voices). Etching. Measures 6 in. high x 8 in. wide (with frame 14.25 in. high x 18.25 in. wide). Catalogue Raisonne: Delteil, 177. Provenance: Private estate, Sacramento, California.
Condition: In apparently very good condition. The sheet is a bit toned. Not examined outside of frame.
Francisco Goya created eighty etchings based on the Spanish guerrilla war against Napoleon from 1810 to 1820. The series, called 'Los Desastres de la Guerra' (The Disasters of War) describes the horrors and atrocities of war. It was first published in 1863.
