Oil on canvas 18 x 24 in., 22 x 28 in. (framed). The following, submitted July 2004, is from Robert O. Frick, Jr, son of the artist.Perhaps best known for his rural New England landscapes, Robert Oliver Frick carefully studied and depicted the seacoast of Maine as well. He received such notable recognition as listings in "Men of Achievement", Great Britain's "Who's Who" in the World of Art, the "International Biographical Index, Cambridge, England and "Who's Who in American Art".His works are in numerous corporate collections as well as the private collections of Laurence S. Rockefeller, Morris Udall, Donald Teague, and Marius Boivin, Ministere de l'Agriculture, Gouvernment du Quebec.His work is also in the permanent collection of the Southern Vermont Artists, Inc. and the Salmagundi Club, New York City. Awards include 1976 Kenneth Fitch Award; the 1979 Abe Sharpe Foundation Award, Salmagundi Club, New York; the 1979 Knickerbocker Artists of America Award, Knickerbocker Artists, Inc., New York; and the 1980 Salmagundi Prize at the Grand National Exhibition of the American Artists Professional League, New York.
