George III style secretary cabinet, early 20th century, in the Chinese Chippendale manner with Chinoiserie details throughout, the case surmounted with carved broken swan's neck pediment above the upper section with Gothic details to the glass doors, the fall-front drawer pulls out to reveal a desk with green tooled leather writing surface and pigeon-hole compartments, the lower section with doors revealing a sliding drawer, all above carved bracket feet. 95”H x 42”W x 33”D. Age cracks, wear. Provenance: From the estate of American film producer Martin Bregman (Scarface, Serpico, Dog Day Afternoon). Removed from his Park Avenue apartment decorated by Sister Parish and Albert Hadley.
