Larry Fink is one of the great party photographers, here photographing in the ultimate New York party club of the 1970s.

Larry Fink ( b.1941) is a photographer who works with black and white images of social events. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Fink grew up in a politically minded family, and studied at the New School for Social Research. One of his teachers during his time at the school, Lisette Model, encouraged his photographic talent. Fink taught art at the Yale University School of Art from 1977 to 1978, and Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture from 1978 to 1983. He also taught at Parsons School of Design and New York University.

In 1979, Fink had a solo exhibition called Social Graces at the Museum of Modern Art. His work from this exhibition was transferred to a book that was published in 1984. Fink used this work to show the contrast between the different classes in New York. Fink also completed a series for The New York Times Magazine consisting of satirical images of President George W. Bush and his cabinet. The publication never went to print because of the attacks on September 11th, 2001. In 2004, the series was exhibited at the PowerHouse Gallery, in New York, as part of The Forbidden Pictures: A Political Tableau.

Fink has been the recipient of several awards and honors throughout his career. In 1976 and 1979, Fink received the Guggenheim Fellowship. He also received National Endowment for the Arts Individual Photography Fellowships in 1978 and 1986. Fink's photographs have made appearances in many popular publications, including GQ, The New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Detour, and The New Yorker. In recent years, he has had a number of exhibitions, such as Somewhere There's Music held at the Heckscher Museum located on Long Island, and again, at the Gallery Forni in Milan, Italy. In 2008, Vanity Fair commissioned Fink to cover the political trail of Barack Obama, John McCain, and Hillary Clinton.
