Fantastic silver plate by Sheffield silversmiths James Deakin & Sons. The inkwell features an eagle looking to fly away. The amethyst glass inserts appear to be original and features a pen rest. The stamped and etched details in the base are flowers and leaves and the feet have an Asian influence, appearing to be Foo dogs. Stands approx 5" tall, approx 11 1/2" long.

Condition

Very Good. Could use a polish.Â
