Margaret Wall-Romana, Minneapolis, Minnesota. "Elemental Suspension". Oil and metal leaf on birch panels, 2017. The artist has donated the proceeds of this sale to the museum. Wall-Romana (mwallromana.com) is a California native who studied painting at UC Davis and earned an MFA at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Since moving to Minneapolis, she has exhibited at the Minneapolis Institute of Art through the Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program, been a finalist for the McKnight Artist Fellowship, and has been nominated for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant. The North Dakota Museum of Art holds two of her major paintings in the Permanent Collection. Wall-Romana first showed at the North Dakota Museum of Art in 2011 with the solo exhibition "Taking Time". The painting "Elemental Suspension" was included in the Museum's 2017 "Into the Weeds" exhibit.
