Description
Circa 1820. Having a cherry and poplar case with hinged top opening to interior with dividers one of which is missing. The interior is a three compartment configuration. The upper case resting atop lower case housing a single long drawer with nicely divided interior as well in tulip poplar all supported by four handsomely turned and tapered legs. H32 1/2" W32" D20 1/2" Sold from the collection of a Southern lady.
Condition
The piece having been refinished at some point in the 20th century. The top is original and hinges are original as well. Hinges are each signed Greenwood or Ohio River Valley Foundry owned by Miles Greenwood. The interior having a divider which is movable from one side to the other. Lower case in good condition and feet are all original and in good condition.
