Description
The Jimmy Dean Show Original Show Bill - This is an original, unused and uncut show bill for The Jimmy Dean Show, which was most likely destined to be a countertop display based on the weight of the art paper. This piece was acquired directly from the estate of legendary promoter D.C. "Smokey" Smith, who was based in Des Moines, Iowa. Smokey promoted numerous country music recording artists from 1950 to 1974, including "up and comers" at the time, Loretta Lynn, Porter Wagoner, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and of course Patsy Cline to name a few. Most unique regarding this original printed show bill is Patsy Cline is an opening act, thus this performance was early on in her illustrious career, that tragically ended with a plane crash on March 5, 1963. Patsy's dominating vocal capabilities permanently etched her name in country music when legends are referenced, thus making any career artifact highly collectible.
