Elvis Presley's Red Viking Glass Vase From His Beverly Hills Home From the Mike Moon Collection W/Copy of Bill of Sale, Handwritten Notes & COA - This red Viking glass vase was owned by Elvis Presley and used at his home in Beverly Hills. It is said that Elvis loved the color red and played a Hagstrom Viking guitar, which is symbolized in this red decorative glass vase. Elvis lived at the home from 1968 to 1973 before selling the estate, along with most of it's contents, in 1973 following his divorce from Priscilla. The home and contents were purchased by Elayne Marks, who eventually held an auction with Don B. Smith at the Hollywood Palladium in 1980 where the contents of the home were sold. It is said that the Hillcrest home was Elvis' "Graceland of the West", and he was happy during his time there with Priscilla and baby Lisa Marie. This red vase was later acquired from Marks by Mike Moon and was exhibited for many years at his Elvis and Hollywood Legends Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which at the time held the largest privately owned Elvis Presley memorabilia collection. The lot will include a copy of the original 1981 bill of sale documenting the sale of items from the Hillcrest Dr. home from Elayne Marks to Mike Moon, along with a copy of Moon's handwritten exhibit notes regarding the Hillcrest Dr. auction and a certificate of authenticity.
