Elvis Presley's Favorite "Zippin Pippin" Libertyland Amusement Park Ride Front Car W/COA - This front roller coaster car was on display at the Memphis Libertyland Amusement Park for two decades, next to the entrance of the second oldest wooden roller coaster in the United States. This was Elvis Presley's favorite car from Libertyland's "Zippin Pippin" roller coaster, as Elvis preferred riding in the front car. It is well documented that Elvis loved Libertyland, and would rent out the entire park on occasion in order to enjoy it without the constant fan interference. This front car is from the 1960s, and was overhauled for the 1976 Bicentennial Celebration. Other than the front plate, which was added in the early 2000's when this car was displayed at the Nashville Automobile and Wax Museum, this car is completely original to when Elvis, the Memphis Mafia and invited guests rode the coaster and adjacent rides in privacy. Elvis rented the park for the last time in August of 1977 for his daughter Lisa Marie, just days before his passing. This front car comes with a letter of authenticity from Stephen Shutts, a well known collector and broker of Elvis, country music and pop culture memorabilia for over 20 years, who has worked with entities including the CMA, Brooks & Dunn, Hugh Hefner & Playboy, Dick Clark, among others. Shutts also had a CMT reality TV series based on his life collection Rock N' Roll memorabilia. Shutts purchased the Zippin Pippin roller coaster in its entirety in 2006 and retained this car for several years prior to selling it to a collector. The other cars from this coaster were sold to a Wisconsin amusement park along with the Zippin Pippin name, and this is truly the only car from the ride available to purchase on the planet.
