Description
An unsigned manuscript draft of a pass allowing inhabitants of Havana to evacuate to Spain, or "any Part of his Catholick Majesty's Dominions." September, 1762. Folio, 1 pg. Brown ink on laid. ************** The document gives permission to Don Christoval de los Rios, Don Diego Orison, and Don Antonio Fernandez to leave with 750 boxes of sugar, 500 dollars, and apparel, being their private property. The British captured Havana in 1762, during the Seven Years War, though it was returned to Spain shortly thereafter in exchange for Florida.
Condition
A few archival tape repairs to verso (repairing some short closed marginal tears. Creased as folded, some very light foxing or minor dust-soiling. Good.
