ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CHESS GAME MOTIF CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a 10 1/2" D footed punch bowl and a wash basin and pitcher, each having red/pink transfer featuring two women playing chess with a gentleman standing behind one player and floral border decoration. Marks include impressed "ADAMS" and various printed and impressed numerals. William Adams IV & Sons, Greenfield, England. 1834-1864.
Pitcher undamaged; bowl having professional restoration to hairline between foot and body with light radial hairline to underside only; basin having bruise to foot ring; some with minor expected usage wear.
