ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTERS, LOT OF TWO, each having red/pink transfer images with ruins, comprising one featuring "DELHI", as printed to underside rim, depicting figures outside of Egyptian-style buildings including a sphinx, and one with "BELZONI", featuring hunters relaxing beside columned ruins with dog. Printed marks include pattern names comprising one having "E W & S. / PATENT." "Belzoni" attributed to Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. Second quarter 19th century. 15 1/4" x 12 1/2" to 19 1/8" x 16 1/2".
"Delhi" example undamaged, except each having light short scattered scratches from use; "Belzoni" example with minor flake to rim underside.
